Why would the city tear down the dinosaur museum before they looked at ways to save it?
The museum building designed by Lescher & Mahoney built in 1937. It was renovated in 1997 to include a reception area on the second floor that is not currently being used.
With it's outdoor patio that covers half of the building, this could be the perfect lunch spot for not just the museum visitors but everyone in the downtown. With EVIT culinary group anf the food cohorts from ASU, the museum could feature local chefs. The space also has a gallery space which offers a great opportunity to showcase different local artists work.
Instead however, the council is considering using $170 million of your tax dollars to remove it and replace it with what? Another museum?
