MESA CITY COUNCIL AGENDA ITEM ALERT!

NO Utility Rate HIKE!

Understand what your government is planning

MESA RESIDENTS
Your Voice Can
STOP the Next Utility Rate Hike!

Fellow Mesa taxpayers, the City Council is once again preparing to reach deeper into your wallets with proposed utility rate increases that could add millions to city coffers while straining family budgets during tough economic times.

On **Monday, December 1, 2025, at 5:45 p.m.**, the Mesa City Council will hold a critical public hearing and vote on these adjustments at Council Chambers (57 E. 1st St., Mesa). This is your chance to stand up and say NO to higher water, wastewater, gas, electric, and solid waste bills that fund bloated government spending instead of essential services alone.

We’ve seen rates climb year after year, often to cover transfers to the general fund rather than true infrastructure needs. Now we have a strong new ally: **Councilmember Dorean Taylor** (District 2), elected in the November 4, 2025 recall on promises of fiscal responsibility and putting residents first. Show up in force to support her and demand the Council reject these increases and make real budget cuts.

Your presence matters—packed chambers have stopped bad policies before. Arrive early, sign up to speak (3 minutes each), and share how more hikes hurt your family!

**Call to Action:** Attend the December 1 meeting at 5:45 p.m. Bring neighbors, signs, and your stories.

Together, we can protect your wallet!

See you there!
